Philosophy, Psychology and Religion Courses
The Philosophy, Psychology and Religion Department aims to help students grow toward a meaningful and integrated experience of the world. Through the disciplined study of classic, vital texts, the department seeks to teach students the value of engaging in open-minded questioning and discussion.
The department approaches this task from four different perspectives: exposure to important thinkers and issues in the philosophic tradition of the West, examination of the psychological phenomena associated with the events that give our lives meaning, exploration of the fundamental religious issues found in both the Western and Eastern traditions and direct interpersonal experience and training.
